Tudor Black Bay Smooth Calfskin Leather Strap

The Tudor Black Bay takes a 20mm strap on the BB58, BB54, BB Pro and Ranger, and a 22mm on the BB41, BB GMT and BB Chrono. This smooth calfskin leather strap is produced in collaboration with Morellato in Italy and features cream contrast stitching along the full length of both sides. Available in brown, tan and black.

Morellato have been producing leather goods in Italy since 1946. The calfskin used here is tanned and finished to their specification: a clean, polished surface with no grain or texture, just the natural depth and quiet sheen that well-finished smooth calfskin develops over time. It is the most traditional watch strap leather and, on the right watch, still the most considered choice. The Black Bay's tool-watch character and its heritage references make it one of those watches.

The cream contrast stitch is the detail that separates this strap from a plain calfskin. It runs the full length of both edges, tight and consistent, and it changes the character of the strap depending on the colourway. On brown it reads as vintage — the kind of combination that appears in archival Tudor catalogue images from the 1950s and 1960s. On tan against the BB58's gilt accents and warm lume it is more obviously referenced, more deliberately paired. On black the cream stitch is the only interruption in an otherwise minimal combination — clean but not anonymous.

The leather softens naturally with wear and develops a patina specific to how and where it is used. A smooth lining runs the full length. Standard spring bars are included for fitting.
