Monocoque — Royal Pop Wrist Case & Straps

The AP × Swatch Royal Pop is the most talked-about collaboration of 2026 — but it ships as a pocket watch. The Monocoque Collection is how you wear it.

The Monocoque is our flagship wrist system for the Audemars Piguet × Swatch Royal Pop. Designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom by MGB Watches, the case is machined from 7075 aerospace-grade aluminium and secures the Royal Pop using the proprietary Monolock™ system, engineered specifically for the safety and stability of the watch. The result is a wrist case finished to the standard the AP × Swatch collaboration deserves — and a system you can build into your own collection with interchangeable straps.

Whether you secured the Royal Pop pocket watch in store, picked one up on the secondary market, or are still chasing one, the Monocoque lets you wear it the way it deserves to be worn — on the wrist, every day.

How to wear the AP × Swatch Royal Pop on your wrist

The Royal Pop is designed as a pocket watch. Out of the box it comes with a calfskin lanyard for wearing around the neck or clipped to a bag - but no way to wear it on the wrist.

That's what the Monocoque is built for. It's the first British-machined aluminium wrist case for the AP × Swatch Royal Pop, milled from 7075 aerospace aluminium in Bicester, Oxfordshire. Your Royal Pop sits securely inside, held by the Monolock™ system, with no modification to the watch and no compromise to its finish.

Five case colours, twelve strap colours, 480 combinations - so you can wear your Royal Pop as a wristwatch, your way, every day. UK shipped, with international shipping available.

FAQ Royal Pop Monocoque

Will the Monocoque fit my Royal Pop?

Yes. The Monocoque is engineered specifically for the AP × Swatch Royal Pop and fits all eight variants. The six Lépine variants (crown at 12) and the two Savonnette variants (crown at 3, with the hinged hunter cover) each have a Monocoque configured for their case format. Select your variant at checkout and you'll receive the correct fit. Your Royal Pop clicks securely into place with no modification to the watch.

How does the Monolock™ system work?

Monolock™ is our proprietary system for holding your Royal Pop securely inside the case. Machining the aperture to the exact size of the watch would make it impossible to seat a Bioceramic watch without forcing it, so the aperture is machined a few microns oversize, and two K-Clips take up the difference to draw the watch into a precise, secure fit. The result is a snug, stable hold with no forcing and no stress on the Bioceramic. Your Royal Pop is never modified and can be removed at any time.

What's the warranty?

Your Monocoque case is covered by a lifetime structural warranty, covering the structural integrity of the case under normal use. The anodised finish is sealed and built to last with Type 2 anodising, and if you'd ever like to refresh the colour, our Monocoque Colour+ service lets you re-anodise and restrap your case. The finish is renewable for the life of the case.

Will the colour scratch off? Is it covered?

The colour won't chip or peel like paint or a coating, because it isn't one. The Monocoque is anodised, which means the colour is formed within the surface of the metal itself, not applied on top. There's nothing to flake away.

Anodising is hard-wearing but not indestructible. Like any watch case, a hard knock or years of daily wear can mark the finish over time. The difference is that with the Monocoque, finish wear is never permanent: because the colour is in the metal, we can strip and re-anodise the case to return it to an as-new finish at any point.

Our lifetime warranty covers the structural integrity of the case. Cosmetic wear to the finish isn't a structural fault, so it sits outside the warranty - but it's exactly what our Monocoque Colour+ service is designed for, letting you refresh or completely change the finish whenever you like.

Is it really made in Britain?

Yes - and we can show you. The Monocoque is designed, machined, and finished in Britain, not assembled from imported parts or finished abroad. Each case is milled from a single block of 7075 aerospace-grade aluminium at a precision engineering facility in Bicester, Oxfordshire, the same workshop that produces components for Formula 1, MotoGP, and aerospace clients. The aluminium is supplied to AMS 4124 specification through a UK aerospace metals stockist. Most aftermarket Royal Pop accessories are made in China - the Monocoque is genuinely British, with a verifiable supply chain.
