Product Description
The Railmaster has always occupied a specific place in the Omega catalogue. Part of the original 1957 professional trilogy alongside the Speedmaster and Seamaster 300, it was built for engineers and scientists working around electrical fields, anti-magnetic to 1,000 gauss before that was a standard expectation. The 2025 reissue pushes that to 15,000 gauss. The heritage is serious, and the watch wears that quietly.
Our alligator-embossed leather strap suits it better than almost anything else. The texture adds depth without formality, and on the Railmaster's clean, symmetrical 38mm case, no bezel insert, no crown guards, no clutter — the leather reads as considered rather than dressed up. Brown in particular works with the dial tones Omega has chosen for the reissue: the bronze-brown gradient that echoes the patina of a vintage instrument watch.
This strap is cut from high-grade leather with an alligator-emboss finish. It's supple from the first wear and softens further with use, developing character without losing structure. The fit stays consistent across the day — it won't stretch out, bag or lose its shape with regular rotation.
The brushed stainless steel deployant clasp matches the Railmaster's steel case finishing and creates a clean, unbroken line around the wrist. It distributes tension evenly, reduces fold wear on the leather, and is noticeably easier to open and close one-handed than a tang buckle — useful for anyone rotating through multiple watches.
Quick-release spring bars come fitted as standard. No tools required.
