Tudor Black Bay Fine Grain Calfskin Leather Strap

The Tudor Black Bay takes a 20mm strap on the BB58, BB54, BB Pro and Ranger, and a 22mm on the BB41, BB GMT and BB Chrono. This fine grain calfskin leather strap is produced in collaboration with Morellato in Italy and is available in four colourways: Burgundy, Green, Golden Brown and Brown.

Morellato have been producing leather goods in Italy since 1946. The calfskin used here is tanned and finished to their specification, producing a tight, consistent grain across the full face of the strap. Fine grain calfskin sits between smooth and textured leather in character — it has more surface interest than polished calfskin, more restraint than suede or nubuck, and a natural depth that becomes more pronounced as the leather breaks in. It is the kind of strap that suits the Black Bay's own character: considered, understated, and built to improve with time.

The four colourways are chosen for what works against the Black Bay's dial and case combinations rather than for variety alone. Burgundy pairs directly with the Black Bay 41 Burgundy and holds its own against darker dials. Green reads differently depending on the light — closer to olive in shade, closer to forest green in direct sun — and works particularly well against the BB58's warm lume. Golden Brown brings contrast against black and blue dials without competing with them. Brown is the straightforward choice for owners who want a traditional leather look that stays out of the way of the watch.

A smooth lining runs the full length of the strap. A pair of standard spring bars is included ready for fitting.
