Tudor Black Bay Embossed Alligator Leather Strap with Deployant Clasp

Embossed alligator calfskin leather with a brushed stainless steel deployant clasp. The alligator embossing is applied to high-grade Italian calfskin, producing the scale pattern and surface texture of exotic leather without the CITES restrictions or price point of genuine crocodile. On the wrist it reads as dress leather. In practice it handles everyday wear. The calfskin is supple from the outset, softens naturally over time, and holds its structure across the full length of the strap rather than creasing at a single point.

The deployant clasp is what separates this from every embossed leather strap with a standard pin buckle. A pin buckle concentrates stress at the same adjustment hole every time the watch is worn. The leather weakens, the hole elongates, and the strap ages unevenly. A deployant clasp removes that entirely. It opens and closes through a folding mechanism, keeps the leather in consistent shape, and creates a cleaner profile on the wrist. Once sized, the watch goes on and off in seconds.

Three colourways. Black is the formal default and works across every Tudor reference. Brown suits the BB58's gilt indices and warm lume, adding the kind of dressed warmth that the Black Bay was built for. Navy sits between formal and casual, complementing blue bezels on the BB58 Blue and GMT without matching them exactly.

Smooth lining runs the full length of the strap for all-day comfort. Quick-release spring bars included for tool-free fitting. Complementary clasp engraving available at checkout. Up to three characters, laser engraved into the stainless steel.

This strap does not fit: The original Black Bay Bronze (ref. M79250) uses a non-standard 23mm lug width and is not compatible. The BB58 Bronze (ref. 79012) uses 20mm and fits. The Black Bay 36 uses 19mm and is not compatible.

Important: Tudor has introduced 21mm lug width on selected newer Black Bay 41 METAS-certified references (2025 onward). The standard BB41 (ref. 79680, 79683) remains 22mm. If you own a 2025 or later BB41, measure between the inner edges of both lugs to confirm whether your watch is 21mm or 22mm before ordering.
