Monocoque Colour+ — Terms and Conditions

Monocoque Colour+ — Terms and Conditions

These terms govern the Monocoque Colour+ service ("the Service") provided by MGB Watches ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing the Service you agree to these terms. These terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

1. What the Service includes

1.1 Monocoque Colour+ entitles you to two (2) colour changes to a single Monocoque case over a period of two (2) years. Each colour change includes:

  • Pre-paid tracked postage both ways
  • Full inspection of your Monocoque on arrival
  • A complete bead blast of the existing case
  • A full re-anodise in your chosen finish
  • A new FKM strap in your chosen colour
  • New K-Clips and screw pins where we determine these require replacement

1.2 The Service is a cosmetic refinishing service. It is separate from, and additional to, the lifetime structural warranty that accompanies your Monocoque case (see clause 10).

2. Eligibility and term

2.1 The Service applies to one specific Monocoque case, identified at the time of purchase and linked to your order number and the email address used at purchase.
2.2 The two-year term begins on the date your Monocoque is delivered to you.
2.3 Both colour changes must be requested before the end of the two-year term. A change requested before expiry will be honoured even if completed after the term ends.
2.4 Unused colour changes have no cash value and expire at the end of the two-year term.

3. Sending us your case — important

3.1 You must remove your Royal Pop watch from the Monocoque case before sending it to us. You send the empty Monocoque case only.
3.2 We accept no responsibility for any watch, movement, or other item sent to us inside or attached to the case. Our liability under these terms relates solely to the Monocoque case itself.
3.3 If a watch is received with a case, we will return it at our discretion and at your risk. We strongly advise against sending one.

4. How to use the Service

4.1 To request a colour change, contact us at [email protected]. We will arrange pre-paid tracked postage for you to send us your empty Monocoque case.
4.2 You are responsible for packaging the case securely. We recommend retaining your proof of postage.
4.3 Typical turnaround is approximately two weeks from the date your case is received back at our workshop to the date it is dispatched to you. This excludes shipping time to and from us, which varies by location. We will keep you informed of any material delays.
4.4 Only one colour change may be in progress at any time.
4.5 If, having issued pre-paid postage, we do not receive your case within 60 days, or if we are unable to reach you to confirm your chosen finish for 30 days after receiving your case, we may treat that change request as withdrawn. The change remains available to you within your two-year term.

5. Colour and finish

5.1 Each colour change may be finished in any of our available anodised colours and finishes at the time of the change, at no additional cost. Our range of finishes may expand over time. Particular colours or finishes available at one time may not be available at another.
5.2 Anodised finishes are produced in batches and slight tonal variation between batches is a normal characteristic of the process and is not a defect.
5.3 We cannot guarantee an exact match to a previous finish or to another customer's case.
5.4 FKM straps are subject to colour availability at the time of each change.

6. Condition of your case

6.1 We will inspect and photograph your case on arrival and before return.
6.2 The Service restores and re-finishes your existing case. It does not remedy pre-existing structural damage. If we identify any issue that falls outside the scope of the Service, we will contact you before proceeding.
6.3 Re-anodising requires the case to be stripped and bead blasted. This is a normal and necessary part of the process and is not damage.

7. Postage, risk and liability

7.1 We provide pre-paid, tracked postage both ways. The Service is available worldwide, except where we are unable to ship due to legal, sanctions, or carrier restrictions.
7.2 While your case is in transit using our pre-paid postage, and while in our possession, the case is covered against loss or damage. In the event of loss of, or damage to, the case during transit or in our care, our sole obligation is to repair the case or, where repair is not reasonably possible, to replace it with an equivalent Monocoque case.
7.3 Our total liability under these terms, however arising, is limited to the purchase price of the Monocoque case concerned. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any item not forming part of the Monocoque case, including any watch (see clause 3).
7.4 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
7.5 For international orders, any import duties, taxes, or customs charges levied by the destination country on the return of your case are your responsibility. International transit times may be longer than our typical workshop turnaround.

8. Transfer and refunds

8.1 The Service is personal to the original purchaser and is linked to your order number and the email address used at purchase.
8.2 The Service cannot be transferred to another person or to another Monocoque case.
8.3 The Service is non-refundable, except where you exercise your statutory right to cancel within the 14-day cancellation period set out in clause 9, or where we are unable to provide the Service as set out in clause 11.

9. Cancellation (your 14-day right)

9.1 You have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, for a full refund, provided no colour change has been started.
9.2 If you expressly ask us to begin a colour change within the 14-day cancellation period, you acknowledge that: (a) you are requesting the Service to start before the end of the cancellation period; and (b) once the colour change has been fully performed, you lose your right to cancel it. If you cancel after a change has begun but before it is complete, we may charge a proportionate amount reflecting the service performed up to the point of cancellation.
9.3 After the 14-day period, the Service is non-refundable, save for your statutory rights and clause 11.

10. Relationship to the Monocoque structural warranty

10.1 Your Monocoque case is supplied with a lifetime structural warranty covering the structural integrity of the case under normal use. That warranty is separate from this Service.
10.2 This Service covers cosmetic refinishing only. Wear, scratches, or changes to the finish over time are not structural defects; refinishing is the purpose of this Service.
10.3 The structural warranty and this Service do not overlap or compete: the structural warranty keeps your case sound, while this Service refreshes its finish.
10.4 Nothing in these terms affects or reduces the structural warranty or your statutory rights.

11. If we are unable to provide the Service

11.1 The Service depends in part on third-party finishing suppliers. If, for reasons outside our reasonable control, we become unable to provide a colour change in a particular finish, we will offer you an available alternative finish.
11.2 If we become unable to provide the Service at all, we will refund a fair proportion of the price reflecting any unused colour changes.
11.3 We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including supplier failure, postal or carrier disruption, or other force majeure events. Where such an event occurs, the affected timeframes are extended accordingly.

12. General

12.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
12.2 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
12.3 If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
12.4 These terms, together with your order confirmation, form the entire agreement between us in relation to the Service and supersede any prior representation or statement.
12.5 We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to your Service.
12.6 We will hold and process your contact details in accordance with our privacy policy for the purpose of providing the Service.
