Why FKM rubber?

FKM (fluoroelastomer) is a medical and aerospace-grade rubber. Compared to standard silicone, it resists UV degradation, doesn't harden over time, handles chemicals and sweat without discolouring, and stays soft in both heat and cold. It's the same material used by premium strap makers charging £150+. We use it across our entire sailcloth range at a fraction of the price.
