Rubber Woven Strap for Blancpain X Swatch Green Abyss

The stock strap on the Green Abyss is made from recycled fishing nets. Admirable. Not comfortable. This is the upgrade.

Rubber woven construction with a textured surface that reads like fabric on the wrist but performs like rubber in the water. The Green Abyss is a dive watch. It is rated to 91 metres. The strap should handle everything the watch can. This one does. Fully waterproof, sweat-resistant, quick to dry, and resistant to salt, chlorine, and UV. No odour buildup. No moisture trapped against the skin. Wear it in the sea, rinse it under a tap, and put it back on. That is how a dive watch strap should work.

The woven texture gives it more visual interest than plain rubber without the maintenance problems of genuine fabric. Under a cuff it looks refined. On a bare wrist it looks purposeful. The Green Abyss has a dial that fades from deep green to black, inspired by the Nembrotha Kubaryana sea slug. It is a bold watch. The strap needs to either complement that or stay out of the way. Black does the latter. The other colourways in the range let you do the former.

Fitted with a stainless steel pin buckle. The lug width is 21mm, specific to the Swatch x Blancpain Fifty Fathoms range.

Important: This watch does not use spring bars. The Swatch x Blancpain uses drilled lugs with hex screws. You need two 0.9mm Allen keys to remove and fit the strap. Designed for the Blancpain x Swatch Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms Green Abyss (ref. SO35G100). Also fits all other Swatch x Blancpain Fifty Fathoms models using the same 21mm hex screw lug system, including the Ocean of Storms, Arctic Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Pacific Ocean editions.

This strap does not fit MoonSwatch, standard 20mm, or standard 22mm watches. The 21mm width and hex screw fitting are specific to the Swatch x Blancpain range.
