Unveiling the Swatch x Blancpain Ocean of Storms Watch

Following our previous post teasing the release of Ocean of Storms and now the dust has settled after the launch on Thursday it is now time to give you everything you need to know, and see, before you decide to buy the sixth watch in the Swatch x Blancpain collection, Ocean of Storms.

The Inspiration behind the watch?

This being the sixth watch in the collection and there only being 5 oceans, Swatch got creative to name the  sixth ocean in this collection.

The new Ocean of Storms takes a leaf out of the playbook of MoonSwatch to find the next ocean, the inspiration has come directly from Earth’s Moon. Oceanus Procellarum, is a lunar mare located on the western edge of the near side of the moon. This is the largest mare or "sea" on the moon, spanning more than 2,500 kilometers from north to south and covering around 2 million square kilometers. Ocean of Storms name is a direct translation from Latin of Oceanus Procellarum.
