The New Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic Is Dual Time Done Right

The New Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic Is Dual Time Done Right

There is something quietly satisfying about holding a watch that knows exactly what it is. The new Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic does not try to do everything. Instead, it focuses on doing one thing exceptionally well, offering a beautifully executed dual-time function in a case design that is already one of the most iconic in watchmaking.

I had the chance to go hands on with the new Tribute Geographic at Watches and Wonders 2025, and from the moment I strapped it on, it was clear this is not just another Reverso with a complication. It is a confident evolution of the Geographic concept that feels completely at home within the Tribute line.

A Familiar Shape, A Fresh Perspective

The case is classic Reverso – rectangular, slim, and beautifully proportioned, but it still manages to feel new. At 49.4mm lug to lug and just 29.9mm wide, the Tribute Geographic wears close to the wrist but never feels small. It is a shape most collectors are familiar with, but here, it serves a different purpose. Flip the case, and you are greeted not with a blank caseback or a simple second dial, but with a functional and beautifully decorated second time zone, complete with a day night indicator and a city disc.

This is where the Tribute Geographic really starts to shine. The layout is clean, legible, and practical, with enough design flourish to remind you you are wearing something special. The globe motif at six o'clock is a subtle nod to travel without being overstated, and the finishing is what you would expect from Jaeger-LeCoultre – crisp, sharp, and quietly confident.

A Dial That Balances Restraint And Detail

The front dial is classic Tribute. Sunray brushed, rich in tone, and with those familiar dauphine hands that catch the light just enough to add depth without becoming flashy. The applied markers are faceted and polished, and while the colour palette stays safe; think silver, slate, or deep navy depending on the reference – the effect is timeless.

But flip the case, and the personality shifts. The rear dial has more texture, more information, and yet still manages to stay composed. You have local time, a 24-hour day night ring, and a city disc that allows for quick reference of a second time zone. It is not quite a full world timer , there is no instant 24 city readout, but it gives you the practicality of dual time with an elegant twist.

The Movement: Calibre 437

Inside is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s new manual winding Calibre 437. It is slim, robust, and purpose built for this watch. The winding action is smooth, and although it does not have an exhibition caseback, knowing this movement was designed specifically for the Reverso format gives it a sense of integrity.

Manual wind movements always feel more connected – there is a ritual to setting the time and giving the crown a few turns each morning. In this case, it feels fitting. The Tribute Geographic is a watch for someone who appreciates involvement. It rewards time spent with it.

Our Thoughts

This is not a watch that shouts. It does not need to. The Tribute Geographic speaks to a collector who travels, whether physically or philosophically. Someone who values tradition but wants utility. Someone who appreciates heritage but still wants something fresh on the wrist.

Wearing it, I found myself flipping the case more than necessary, not because I needed the second time zone, but because the experience of engaging with the watch was enjoyable in itself. That is rare.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic sits comfortably between dress watch and travel companion. It is practical without being technical, refined without being precious. And for those who have always admired the Reverso but waited for something with a bit more substance, this might be the one.
