The Mission to EarthPhase – Moonshine Gold “Cold Moon” arrives not as another variation in a familiar series, but as a deliberate reset. It’s the first EarthPhase model since the rebirth of the 2025 MoonShine series that feels like it brings a new idea to the table.
MoonSwatch fans have been asking for a shift. They wanted something that didn’t feel like another spin of the same navy formula. With the Cold Moon, they finally have it: a crisp white Bioceramic case, a luminous EarthPhase display, UV-reactive Snoopy artwork, and a Moonshine Gold moon disc engraved with a snowflake that is different on every single watch! A New Direction After Four Blue Releases
Since Moonshine Gold re-entered the MoonSwatch universe in August 2025, blue has dominated the palette: midnight, navy, cosmic, flecked with metallics. It built a visual identity, but it also created predictability.
The Cold Moon breaks away immediately.
The all-white Bioceramic case feels like a blank canvas, clean and winter-bright. The deep-blue tachymeter markings and the darker lunar apertures sit against it with purpose, not noise. Swatch has always enjoyed bending the rules of traditional watch releases, but this might be their most unpredictable move yet. From 4 December 2025, the Cold Moon will be available in stores worldwide, but only on days when it is actually snowing in Switzerland. Real snowfall, in real time.
It is whimsical, slightly chaotic, and surprisingly clever, and swatch will be showing the forecast live on their site:
- Stock becomes weather-dependent.
- A snowfall in Geneva could trigger availability across the world.
- Dry spells mean no drops at all.
- Queue culture becomes spontaneous again.
- Resale prices may swing depending on the forecast.
