The Swatch x OMEGA MoonSwatch hype continues to gather pace. Swatch has teased their next big release, expected to be the MoonSwatch Mission to EarthPhase MoonShine Gold Corn Moon, launching on 8 September 2025 in line with the Corn Moon.
Collectors are already buzzing with speculation, and we cannot resist joining in. Could this finally be the first blood red MoonSwatch? We have seen fiery models before, from Mission to Mars to Mission on Earth Lava, but a deep rouge case paired with MoonShine Gold detailing would feel truly special. The Corn Moon of September 7, 2025, will be accompanied by a total lunar eclipse, one of the longest of the decade. The eclipse reaches totality just after the full moon peaks, casting it in a dramatic blood-red hue for roughly 83 minutes; visible across Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, and the Indian Ocean .
This rare alignment transforms the Moon into a “Blood Moon,” providing the perfect narrative backdrop for a bold new Red & MoonShine Gold edition. Imagine a MoonSwatch reflecting the same fiery tones lighting up the sky.
2025 Is A New Chapter for MoonShine Gold
The original MoonShine Gold releases of 2023 were subtle: limited one day drops featuring a MoonShine Gold chronograph hand. The 2025 EarthPhase editions have boldened the concept by embedding the alloy into the moon indicators themselves, a significant upgrade. Following the incredibly popular Mission to Earthphase: Moonshine Gold (Snoopy) released August 9th 2025
The Corn Moon edition could raise the stakes even further. In our speculative mock-up, the vision includes a blood red Bioceramic case that mirrors the hue of a lunar eclipse, MoonShine Gold moons set directly into the moon phase subdial, and an EarthPhase complication in the opposite crescent showing the Earth in shadow to reflect the eclipse itself. A crisp white dial with contrasting gold and red accents would complete the look, delivering one of the most dramatic MoonSwatches to date.
